Dieses Video erzählt keine Geschichte. Ich wollte damit nur die Fähigkeiten meiner neuen Kamera testen – die Sony NEX 7. Ich habe meine alte NEX-VG 10 mit dem SEL 18200 verkauft und kaufte die kleine Kamera in der Bucht zu einem überraschend günstigen Preis. Ich wollte eine kleine, handliche Kamera, die schöne Bilder und Videos produziert. Dieses Video ist mein erster Versuch, einige Aufnahmen mit der Neuen zu schießen.

Das Ergebnis in meiner Einschätzung: Die NEX 7 ist eine wunderschön gestaltetete High-End-Kamera mit einem tollen CMOS-Sensor. Es ist eine spiegellose Kamera mit einem Metallkörper, die für Enthusiasten entwickelt wurde. Sie vereint fortschrittliche Technologie mit der Seriosität einer professionellen DSLR. Wenn man die NEX 7 anfasst, fühlt man Metall, schwarz lackiert, nicht lackiertem Kunststoff. Dies ist einer der Gründe, warum ich das ältere Modell wählte und nicht die neure Alpha 6000, die aus Verbundwerkstoffen hergestellt wird. Vermutlich ist der Autofocus der neueren Kamera besser, aber das schlagende Argument für mich als Videofilmer ist der Mikrofoneingang an der NEX 7.
Die Kamera packt viele Funktionen in einem sehr kleinen Body. Und es sind nützliche Features, nicht Gimmicks. Für Run & Gun-Aufnahmen, Dokumentarfilm oder Nachrichten mit dem absoluten Minimum an Rigging – aber natürlich auch für Fotos -, macht es viel Spaß sie zu verwenden.
Das Sony E 16-50mm f / 3.5-5.6 OSS PZ ist ein Pancake-Zoom-Objektiv für das Sony NEX-System (E-mount). Es ist eine extrem kleine Linse mit einem hochinteressanten Brennweitenbereich. Es bietet ein Äquivalent zu einem 24-75mm-Objektiv an einer Vollformatkamera.
Alles in dem Video wurde aus der Hand unter Benutzung des Suchers gedreht. Ich nutzte ausschließlich das SEL 1650-Kit-Objektiv und nach der Bearbeitung war ich doch sehr überrascht über die Qualität dieser Combo mit der NEX 7.

This video doesn’t tell a story. I just wanted to test the abilities of my new camera – the Sony NEX 7. I sold my old NEX-VG 10 with the SEL and bought the small one as used gear at a surprisingly affordable price. I wanted a small, handy camera which produces fine pictures and videos. So this is my first attempt of shooting some footage with it.
The result in my opinion: The NEX 7 is a beautifully designed high end mirrorless camera with an advanced CMOS sensor. It‘s a mirrorless camera with a metal body designed for pros and enthusiasts. It combines high advanced technology with the seriousness of a professional DSLR. When picking up the NEX 7 you feel cold steel painted black, not painted plastic. This ist one of the reasons why I choose the older model and not the Alpha 6000, being made of composite materials. The AF oft he modern type is better, but the crushing argument for me as a videographer is the microphon plug at the NEX 7.
The camera packs lots of features into a very small body, and they are useful features not gimmicks. For handheld run & gun documentary or news with the bare minimum of rigging, and for stills, it is so much fun to use.
The Sony E 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS PZ is a pancake zoom lens for the Sony NEX system (E-mount). It is an extremely small lens especially considering its highly interesting focal length range. It’s offering a field-of-view equivalent to „24-75mm“ on full format cameras.
Anything in the video was shot handheld with the camera held to my eye. I used the very small pancace SEL 1650 kit lense and after editing I was highly surprised about the quality of that combo with the NEX 7.
